Why the Woodfield Hills Inn?

Comfort and Quiet

,Whether you are a road-weary traveler needing some much-needed rest or a bride wanting all of her best friends to spend one last night together, you will find comfortable beds, homey furnishings & decorating, beautiful sunrises, plentiful birds, numerous deer, sometimes turkeys and most of all, relaxation.  We have many guests that use us as a “base” for travels into Amish Country, or as a place to stay while enjoying family reunions on one of the many lakes in the area. Every year brides take advantage of our unique ability to house a total of 16 guests: 9 in Grandma’s Suite, 5 people in Renee’s Room and 2 people in Michaels Room AND use Robin’s professional hair salon for their makeup and hair before their wedding (plan on bringing your own stylist).

tim and robin

It is Tim and Robin’s wish to provide a place of quiet and rest for those that are traveling, vacationing or celebrating,. Whether you are just passin’ through, or you are here spending some time on Lake Wawasee, perhaps hunting muskie on Webster Lake, enjoying touring the Amish countryside or for an event at one of the many beautiful venues in the area including the Blue Barn Berry Farm, or the Tippy Creek Winery, we have a place for you and yours.

Tim & Robin, Your Hosts

The WoodField Hills Inn

Woodfield Hills Inn is our home. A crazy big home for just two of us, so we decided back in ’18 that we would have some fun with a B&B. Our two children are long gone with families of their own – so we rent out Michael’s Room, Renee’s Room and “Grandma’s Suite – all crazy big by anyone’s standard. Our guests say that they are comfy, quiet and great to sleep & relax in. Grandma’s Suite is attached to the back of our home. It is an apartment that Tim’s parents lived in for 17 years. A complete kitchen, bath and a half and enough beds to sleep 9 people and a separate entrance from the rest of the house.

Free WiFi

Fiber Optic – usually around 100mbps

Free Parking

Plenty of parking, even boats with trailers.

Bedroom Comforts

A few snacks, bottled water, plenty of blankets, LCD Smart TV, carpeting, most rooms have ceiling fans, blinds & curtains, and most have a place to set up a laptop, put on makeup or just relax in a comfy chair.

Air Conditioning

Indiana summers can be hot. And sticky.

Each bedroom (Bunk Room in Grandma’s Suite excluded) has a Smart TV. Some rooms have a DVD player attached as well.

Of course we have heat – our winters are way too long and too cold without it!

Smoke Alarms

Each bedroom has a smoke alarm.

No Surprises

We don’t like to travel and find out that you have to pay extra for shampoo or to use a hairdryer, and we know you don’t either.

Coffee Maker

There is a Keurig for coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Also in Grandma’s Suite, in the “appliance garage on the countertop is a coffee maker. We try to have at least enough fresh ground coffee for a pot or two in there too.

Guest Reviews

All the comforts of home!
Robin and Tim are very gracious hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed. Tim’s coffee is better than any gourmet coffee shop will serve. It is a wonderful quiet get away. My family of 6 was able to spread out and visit together comfortably. We will be back!

Gracious Hospitality in a Lovely Setting
We stayed with Robin and Tim in “Renee’s Room” for 2 nights, while we toured Amish country (Shipshewana, Nappanee, and Middlebury). The room is quite large, with 2 queens…really more like a studio suite. It was lovely, as well as very clean and comfortable. The home itself is in a lovely setting, comfortably nestled against a wooded back yard with flowering trees and bird feeders that attract a variety of birds – an oasis after a day of touring. Robin and Tim are consummate hosts – personable, solicitous and attentive, in addition to being knowledgeable and helpful regarding area sites. Breakfast was a delicious combination of fresh fruit and yogurt with homemade granola, cinnamon rolls, and egg tarts with a choice of fillings. All-in-all, it was a lovely stay and we highly recommend this property and its hosts.

Adorable cottage, delightful hosts, and beautiful area!
This adorable cottage worked out perfectly for our family of 7. We had plenty of room. The younger boys loved the loft area! The hosts went over and above our expectations with a homemade breakfast featuring Tim’s omelet bar, fresh fruit and yogurt, Robin’s muffins, and homemade Amish sweet rolls. You simply can’t go wrong choosing to stay at Grandma’s suite! 🤗

Beyond Expectations
Our experience with Tim and Robin and their home for our bachelorette weekend exceeded our expectations. The home and Granny’s Suite are spacious and very comfortable, the beds are super comfy and plush and the homemade breakfast was more than we could have asked for. This couple understands and gives wonderful hospitality to their guests and we would love to come to stay with them the next time we are in the area. Thank you for a great first VRBO experience.

Friendly Responsive Beautiful home.

Tim and Robin are top-notch Tim greeted us every time we arrived to assist with parking our boats. Robin made delicious cinnamon rolls and cookies for the morning along with offering coffee options. They were always willing to help but also let us be ourselves and not intrude on our space. The home is beautiful and perfect for what we needed. Thank you, Tim and Robin.

Fishing Man

I would highly recommend Woodfield Hills Inn!
Our family recently spent a weekend in Grandma’s Suite at this charming bed & breakfast. What a great experience! Everything from start to finish was perfect. The reservation process was easy and the owners responded immediately with a warm welcome when our reservation was accepted. They kept in touch with us prior to our arrival and asked if we had any special requests or dietary restrictions for breakfast that was served each morning. And what a breakfast it was!! Robin handles the tasty sweet treats like homemade cinnamon rolls, a magical blueberry coffee cake, and fresh fruit, while Tim handles bacon on the grill (great idea) and special-order eggs with all the fixings! And if you love coffee, he’s quite the connoisseur. You can eat on the patio and enjoy a great view of nature, or stay to enjoy the beautiful dining room area with Robin & Tim. We chose to visit with Tim and Robin, great decision! You probably won’t meet two nicer people….they have an amazing gift of hospitality. Our suite was so much more than what we expected…very spacious and immaculate. Everything was so clean and fresh! And I can’t forget to mention the homemade cookies that would magically appear each night! By the time we left, we felt like we had just made some wonderful new friends. We promised to stay in touch. And we will definitely be back!! p.s. They are also great prayer warriors if you are in need of prayer!

We stayed in Grandma’s Suite. Our first step inside was a welcoming sight and feeling. Every room and corner decorated with warm inviting items. Homemade breakfasts were delicious each morning and plentiful. We slept well on comfortable beds. Our hosts were gracious and concerned we had every we needed for a wonderful stay.
